Definitely! Faulty measurements can derail an entire project, so getting it right before starting is crucial. While we don’t do on-site measurements, we can help take accurate ones via video. We also provide a convenient tool to record your measurements and create a basic floorplan.

No. Currently, the technology doesn’t provide the level of accuracy we need to create your final 2D & 3D layout and design plan. But when the technology catches up, we’ll incorporate it into our app.

You and your designer will have three phone or video meetings: when your project kicks off, and when they present your collection of fixtures & finishes, and your 2D & 3D layout and design plan. Meeting times are flexible and tailored to your schedule. Between meetings, you’ll have unlimited messaging with your designer to share feedback and finalize your fixtures & finishes and layout & design plan.

Your designer will learn about you and your space, and you’ll share your style, vision, and requirements for your new bathroom. We’ll answer questions about Spackle and our process, and discuss your budget, timeline, and how much of the build you intend to do yourself or hire out to a contractor.

Our online design service includes meetings and unlimited messaging with a dedicated designer, beginning with a kick-off to discuss your bathroom renovation. Then your designer will collaborate with you to select the fixtures & finishes you need to bring your vision to life. You’ll receive a complete list of products ready for you to shop on the Spackle app, with the ability to swap out products as many times as you like till you’re 100% satisfied. On average, the design stage takes about two to three weeks, from the first kick-off meeting to the completion of your 2D & 3D layout and design plan. Timelines will vary based on the size and complexity of your bathroom, communication preferences, and how quickly you wish to finalize decisions.

If you don’t love the products your designer selected for you, message them with feedback at any time to help steer them in the right direction. We’ll continue to collaborate till we find the ones you do. When it comes to your collection of fixtures & finishes, revisions are unlimited. You’ll even be able to update your choices after your 2D & 3D layout and design plans are complete and you’re ready to buy. We want you to have the flexibility to adapt your selection to your final design plan if you need it.

Once we present your 2D & 3D layout and design plan, we provide up to two additional revisions to make them perfect.

Before designing your 2D & 3D layout and plan, we divide your renovation into stages. We attach estimates of time and effort to complete each one, and you choose which you want to do. Once we know what you’re doing yourself, we’ll calibrate your design plan to your skill level. That way, for example, you won’t end up with tricky tile that would make even a professional tile setter tremble. (We’ve been there—live and learn.)

Different products have different return policies depending on the vendor. We do our best to work with vendors that have at least a 30-day return policy on items in their original packaging, in new and undamaged condition. Return shipping costs may or may not apply, but tile usually incurs a return shipping fee due to its weight.
